This Hamburger Steak and Gravy is super easy to make and a family favorite. Perfect comfort food with mashed potatoes.
Servings: 4 steaks
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons oil
Gravy Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl combine ground beef, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, minced onion, oats. (I mix this up with my hands) Make into about 4 hamburger steaks and dredge in the 1/4 cup flour. Heat oil in skillet and brown steaks on both sides. Remove to a plate. Make gravy.
Gravy Instructions

Add the gravy “fixins” to your skillet, bring to a boil, stirring to mix well. Add steaks back to the skillet, turn heat to simmer and let cook about 30 to 35 minutes on low heat.
