Welcome to the weekend, my friends! Did you have snow where you are this week? We had a fun sprinkling of snow here in Ohio for a couple of days and it was lovely. I’m really enjoying our first chilly days of winter.
ON THE BLOG this week: Oreo Fudge is a creamy chocolate fudge filled with chunks of Oreo cookies. If you love Chocolate Covered Oreos, this is the fudge for you!
Buckeye Fudge is what happens when you combine creamy peanut butter fudge with smooth, rich, dark chocolate fudge. This is a simple recipe for creamy peanut butter fudge with chocolate on top and it tastes just like the ever-popular buckeye candies.
Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies are an old-fashioned oatmeal cookie recipe that never lasts long in my house. This is a simple and tasty butterscotch cookie everyone adores!
Springy, Fluffy Homemade Marshmallows (made with or without corn syrup) are a treat that everyone loves. These are sweet, fluffy, chewy, marshmallows with flecks of vanilla bean throughout each bite. They’re a nearly snackable marshmallow and my whole family has been enjoying them all week.
Peppermint Hot Cocoa is one of our favorite warm drinks this time of year and I keep this mix on hand all year long. There is something special about a cup of cocoa that just beckons me to sit down in front of the Christmas tree and savor the moment.
What I’m CRAVING: Cookies! Cookies! And more COOKIES!! My friend Lynne has been sharing so many awesome cookies this month with her 12 Days of Cookies for Christmas and I want to make and eat them all now.
My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these cozy socks. (link HERE) I found them here to link you to the photos. However, I buy mine at Costco. If you are near one or have a membership for ordering online, that’s going to be your best price for sure.
What I’m WATCHING: Die Hard (link HERE) Anyone else a fan of non-traditional Christmas movies? I like the sentimental ones as well, but classics like Die Hard and The Ref (link HERE) are always on my holiday movie-watching list.
“Christmas is a tonic for our souls. It moves us to think of others rather than of ourselves. It directs our thoughts to giving.” — B. C. Forbes
Wishing you a beautiful week full of little things that make you smile!
Mary
