This Bacon Dill Pickle Cheese Ball covered in bacon is one of our favorites! Super easy to make and always a hit at every gathering. If you love dill pickles you will love this easy appetizer. We personally love it with Ritz crackers but would also be good with Triscuits. This cheese ball you can make a day in advance and just pull it out of the fridge and go!
Bacon Dill Pickle Cheese Ball Simple Ingredients:
Cream cheese – room temperature
Dill pickles
Bacon
Worcestershire sauce
Sharp cheddar cheese
Garlic powder
Sprigs of fresh dill
You can easily use fresh bacon, however I used real bacon bits to help cut down on any grease. So if you do use bacon, cook in advance cut into small pieces, let it drain really well. Maybe put it in the fridge for a few hours to help it harden too. As you can see this cheese ball is only a few ingredients but it is so good. We love the Claussen dill pickles so that is what I used in this recipe.

Bacon Dill Pickle Cheese Ball
This cheese ball is one of our favorites!
- 1 8 ounce cream cheese – room temperature
- 1.5 cups of dill pickles chopped small
- 1/2 cup of bacon chopped – divided
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- couple of sprigs of fresh dill- chopped
-
Once cream cheese is soft, combine cream cheese, dill pickles, 1/4th cup of bacon, Worcestershire sauce, cheddar cheese and garlic powder in a bowl.
-
Mix with mixer until well combined.
-
Next take a piece of saran wrap and lay flat. Add cream cheese mixture to the middle and use the saran wrap to make a ball.
-
Chill in the fridge for a few hours. Once the ball has set, roll ball in remaining bacon and chopped dill.
Serve with crackers. I used real bacon bits in this recipe, to cut down on grease and it worked great.
